THE DOCTOR BEHIND THE PRACTICE
I'm Dr. Ashleigh Igbokwe, a double board-certified family medicine physician and obesity medicine specialist with more than 15 years of primary care experience.
I am also a wife and mother of three, including children with special needs. I know firsthand what it means to carry a full life while trying to keep your own health from falling through the cracks.
Over the years, I've seen too many capable, devoted women receive rushed, fragmented care in a system not designed for their actual lives.

Your visits are unhurried. There is time to hear your full story, understand your history, and actually talk through what matters to you.
Direct access to your physician
Message or call the practice directly and hear back the same day. No black hole, no three-day wait for a portal response.

Because the panel is intentionally small, your doctor has the time to understand your health in the context of your full life, not just isolated symptoms.

Why WON Does Not Bill Insurance

Your health insurance still matters. WON is designed to provide something different: a more personal, accessible relationship with your primary care physician.
WON Direct Primary Care does not bill insurance for your membership or the primary care services included in it. Instead, the membership model allows me to care for a much smaller number of patients and design your care around what you actually need, rather than how many visits I can fit into a day or what can be billed during an appointment.
The result is more time to listen, easier access when questions or concerns arise, thoughtful follow-through, and a physician who has the capacity to know you and your health over time.
Your health insurance remains important for care outside WON, including hospitalizations, emergency care, specialty care, imaging, and other services that are not included in your membership.
Your insurance helps cover care outside the practice. Your WON membership gives you the time, access, and ongoing physician relationship that make primary care feel like care again.

• WON Direct Primary Care is a membership-based medical practice and is not health insurance.
• I encourage members to maintain health insurance for hospitalizations, emergency care, specialty care, and other services provided outside the practice.
• At this time, individuals enrolled in Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE, or CHAMPVA are not eligible for WON Direct Primary Care membership. This policy helps ensure compliance with applicable federal and state program requirements while maintaining WON’s private-pay membership model.
